Double Board Certifications
Dr. Marcus has double board certifications. In 2001, She got her Board Certification in Psychiatry after completing her residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry Newark Medical School. Dr. Marcus was the chief resident for the psychiatry program during her last year of residency. After completing an Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, she received her Board Certification in Addiction Psychiatry.
Certification in Advanced Clinical Pharmacology
Dr. Marcus received four years of Psychoanalytic training at NYU and she is certified in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy through the New York Medical College. Besides seeking advanced training in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic understanding of human behavior and the application of these theories in different therapeutic modalities, Dr. Marcus also received advanced training and certification in psychopharmacology. She has a master degree through the Neuroscience Education Institute and she is certified in advanced clinical pharmacology through the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology
